10th August 2008
Easy to spot how square the walls and door frames are............NOT!!!!!!!

17th August 2008

couldn't be asked to do to much this weekend. Just finished the office.

25.Aug.2008

Didn't do much this weekend.
Just painted and furnished the front room

31.Aug.2008

Again couldn't be asked to do a lot, just plastered the wall in Bedroom Two
Not super brilliant, is my first time using this plaster.
But far better than the walls downstairs done by a Pro.
Will let it dry now till next weekend and sand it down and paint it.

06/07 Sep. 2008

Wall sanded down and first base coat

did a little test patch with my trusty belt sander to check how the floor boards would turn out.
All in all not to bad.
Will be quite some work but still cheaper than carpet, laminate or a hired floor sander.
Base coat on all walls
can dry now for a week

15.September. 2008

Got this wired idea that I have to colour one of the walls

Still don't know what made me choose this colour

it reminds me on something..?

16. September 2008

Disaster struck. The walls weren't properly primed and I just painted over the old paint.
It all started bubbling and came off in big chunks. So had to scrape off all paint on all walls. Except the one I skimmed and primed . Bugger ...
After a full day of funny scraping and heavy swearing I got a bucket of trade Dulux and primed the walls properly.
Also removed all skirting boards and extended the plaster to the floor.
The wombles who plastered the walls just plastered on top of the skirting boards.
Wankers .................!

Update 08 Nov.2008

Also had to remove half the wall to fit the new doors.
Also replastered the wall in the Hallway. 1st of many to come

nothing in this house is in a right angle. So everything is a one off job

Here you see the extended Plaster

repainted everything and put down carpet underlay
is the same stuff as the cheap iso-camping mat
nice new carpet on top, guess which colour .....
blue, where did this colour scheme come from ....?
How shweeeet .....!
used the old floor oak varnish for the knotty pine door, light orangey shine ....

09.Nov.2008

cleaning up, new light switch, skirting board...
all around....
and bed, dine. One freshly decorated bedroom

15.Nov.2008

wallpaper strippin' in the old pink bedroom
something I was looking forward to from day one
wallpaper came off in one big piece, quick a guide coat on ....
makes it easier to spot holes, and plaster problems
ceiling has to come down
and this has to go for the new door

23.Nov.2008

Was a bit ill the last few days. So started very carefully.
Removed the old plaster.

the 'snow flakes' are actually the dust in the air

30.Nov.2008

Removed the rest of the plaster..
..on all inner walls
... what a mess ....

07.Dec.2008

had a little re-think
and removed the ceiling too
120 Years of accumulated dust ....
Finally took some time off on Sunday ....
